TDAC guide for Phuket Airport arrivals
Use the Immigration Bureau portal, prepare the right details and understand what TDAC does—and does not—replace.
Short answer
The Thailand Digital Arrival Card is required for non-Thai nationals entering Thailand, subject to published exceptions. Submit it no more than three days before arrival, including the arrival date, through tdac.immigration.go.th. It does not replace a passport or visa.
Key facts
- Who

- Cost
- Use the Immigration Bureau portal
- Not a visa
- Entry eligibility is separate
Information to prepare
Have passport details, flight number, arrival date, purpose of travel, an address in Thailand, health-declaration information when requested, and an email address. Enter details in English and recheck any data taken from the passport MRZ.
A family or group submission can include up to ten travellers. Each traveller, including a child or infant, still needs an entry in the submission.
When to submit
The current Immigration Bureau instruction says no more than three days before arrival, including the date you arrive. Submitting outside that window is not the intended process.
Save the downloaded card or email confirmation where it can be opened without unreliable roaming data.
Changes and common mistakes
The portal supports updates before travel, but some identity fields cannot be changed. If a core passport field is wrong, follow the portal’s current correction guidance rather than presenting mismatched information.
TDAC does not grant immigration permission. Check visa, passport-validity and entry rules separately for your nationality and itinerary.
At Phuket Airport
Keep the confirmation available when approaching passport control. Follow the lane and document instructions given by immigration staff.
Travellers remaining airside in transit without passing immigration generally do not need TDAC; entering Thailand to collect bags or continue landside is different.
Frequently asked questions

Does TDAC replace a Thai visa?
No. TDAC is an arrival card, not a visa or immigration approval.
